A-level English Literature - deepening your ability to get more out of books and poems and to write at a higher level. As a doctor of philosophy and an author, I love exploring A-level works with students!

Key Stage 3 Sciences: getting to grips with understanding the world around us with insights and humour so you don't lose the plot before the GCSE run!

GCSE Sciences: academic overwhelm comes to mind here with most students I've met. Sometimes you may need to review earlier material, understand how to read the questions and earn more exam points, or just get a grip on what you're learning. Always with real world insights and a sense of humour, I have helped students improve their understanding and almost get as many 'a-hah!' moments as I do in maths!

Common entrance or 11+ grammar school tests - excellent results helping students get into private, public, and grammar schools in our old haunts in the East Midlands.

Economics - GCSE to A-level and Undergraduate: this was my first academic passon which I took to the Masters level: I have taught university economics, A-level and tutored GCSE. For a period I ran and wrote many articles for a digital magazine on Economics, which was enjoyable, and led undergraduate seminars as an Assistant Professor for four years. 

Psychology - GCSE to A-level and Undergraduate - I have tutored A-level psychology for twenty years: it is one my favourite areas to help students  as it is good fun to learn and to open students' eyes! I've helped students understand the key aspects of the theories and how to critique studies. 

History - GCSE to A-level and Undergraduate. I have had the privilege of lecturing in undergraduate British History for four years and have taught History for a year at a senior school.

Business Studies - GCSE to A-level and Undergraduate - I have taught A-level and tutored GCSE and Undergraduat students, and having run a few small businesses and been immersed in a wealth of business literature over the years, I've enjoyed sharing insights and understanding the choices businesses have to make.

Philosophy - GCSE to A-level to Undergraduate, Masters, and doctoral students - this is my doctoral area and I have published several philosophy books and articles. I led seminars in Ethics for three years at the university level as an Assistant Professor, and was a seminar tutor in introductory philosophy at the Universities of Edinburgh and Stirling.

Politics - GCSE to A-level to Undergraduate, Masters, and doctoral students - this one of my main academic areas having published works in Political Philosophy and tutored undergraduates and A-level students over the years.

Sociology - GCSE to A-level - I've taught many A-levels students on understanding the theories and vocabulary and how to answer questions in exams!

Geography - Key Stage 3 - GCSE to A-level - I've taught many A-level and GCSE students how to get on top of the vocabulary and principles of geographical studies, many of which overlap with economics and politics.

French - GCSE and A-level support: I've lived in France and continue to read French literature and have helped A-level and GCSE students over the years.
